NISC is committed to being an environmentally responsible contractor on many levels. We strive to engage in environmentally sustainable practices regarding all facets of our business and we are committed to the protection of the environment.

We are the predominant recycler of concrete, asphalt, and masonry materials in the area. By recycling these products, we divert hundreds of thousands of tons of material from being dumped in the landfills each year. We have worked hard to make our recycling process efficient, which then helps to keep the price for dumping materials, and recycled materials, reasonable and feasible for ourselves and our customers. The combination of our skilled recycling crew, and modern separation equipment help us turn otherwise useless material into valuable products.

Our goal for the future is to be able to recycle 100% of all materials generated in a demolition project. We currently recycle all concrete, masonry material, metals, and asphalt from demolition projects and are actively searching for end uses and methods to recycle the wood and other debris generated as well.

In addition to our desire to be environmentally responsible, we are also committed to following government regulations and best practices for all aspects of our environmentally sensitive work. We strictly follow all EPA protocol regarding asbestos abatement, contaminated soil removal, Underground Storage Tank (UST) Removal, demolition, and erosion control. We maintain industrial storm water permits on all sites that we operate, and sample effluent water if necessary.

We believe that an element of our success is to make “green” practices our standard and we will continue to innovate in the areas of recycling and environmental responsibility.
